Talk about being on foreign ground. The Rangers are thousands of miles away from Madison Square Garden this week, and in their final two games of the preseason, they will have to quickly adjust to a wider ice surface and a rather unfamiliar rink.

A year ago, most Rangers fans didn’t know much about Brandon Dubinsky. But after making the team’s opening-night roster out of training camp in 2007 , Dubinsky is among the Garden Faithful’s favorites and showing signs of greater potential.

It sounds like Tom Renney is staying pat for now with the line combinations he experimented with on Saturday, which is notable on at least two levels.

Hello NY and everywhere else…..it’s me, Bird. Some of you who read the boards over at the Rodent know he is on his way back east. We spoke recently and at that point he was fine and all was well. What you didn’t know is that I’m in the process of moving too. No, not back up north…..I’m leaving one town house for the one next door. Cheaper rent and nicer stuff….it was a no brainer. Well, my brain hurts from trying to move all our crap and I haven’t been following the pre-season. I hope to have everything sorted out in a few days.
