A highly-anticipated matchup between two of the top teams in the NHL’s Eastern Conference lived up to its billing Saturday afternoon in Boston, as the Bruins held off a determined Rangers squad for a 1-0 victory. Marc Savard scored the lone goal.

Tuukka Rask made 35 saves, and in a game in which the Rangers could barely afford even the slightest mistake, they made a big one, leading to Marc Savard’s late-second-period goal that was enough for the Bruins to beat the Blueshirts, 1-0.
