The Rangers continued what has been a busy week of signings by agreeing to terms with 2011 first-round pick J.T. Miller on an entry-level contract.

New York Rangers President …

The Rangers averted an arbitration hearing with forward Ryan Callahan today, agreeing to a three-year deal worth nearly $13 million. The sides were to face the arbitrator tomorrow in Toronto.
Callahan, 26, went 23-25-48 in 60 games last season, before suffering a broken ankle just before the playoffs.
RANGERS SALARY…

So everybody the Rangers wanted to get signed is signed. There could be a buyout in the next day or two, but it’s unlikely. There could still be a trade … which might necessitate a buyout if more salary is coming this way. We’ll see. …

Ryan Callahan, the last of the Rangers’ five restricted free agents this summer, agreed to a three-year, $12.875 million contract Wednesday, likely putting the 26-year-old right wing in position to succeed the bought-out Chris Drury as captain this fall.
